ANXIETY

It’s normal to be anxious from time to time. When delving into a new venture or facing a challenge, feeling nervous or even a little fearful are common reactions to life’s stressors. However, if you find that worry and anxiety have become constant companions, and these uncontrollable feelings are interfering with your life, then it’s time to get help.

At Kendred Wellness Center, we can help you examine the anxiety you are experiencing. If there is no apparent root cause, we will work with you to explore and consider the relevant factors in your life that may be impacting your feelings of worry and causing your anxiety symptoms.

With a deeper sense of understanding, we’ll be able to create a treatment plan to help control anxiety and improve your overall health and wellness.

Battling depression can feel like a lonely fight. This often misunderstood mood disorder is far more common than most people realize at some point in their life. You may be tempted to ignore these feelings, thinking they’re just part of the normal ups and downs of life. However, depression is a serious mental health condition that can have a long-lasting impact on your mental and physical well-being.

Thankfully, depression is highly treatable when you receive compassionate and professional depression counseling. We are here for those fighting depression and depressive feelings.

If you have felt sad for a long time and it’s interfering with your everyday life, we want to walk with you to work toward recovery and healing from depression.

TRAUMA AND PTSD

Most people experience a traumatic event in their lives, whether it be an accident, a sudden death, an exposure to a distressing or violent incident, or something else.  No two people process and cope with trauma in the same way, but it is important to process and cope in some way.

Trauma Recovery counseling helps you organize the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that have changed as a result of your experience.  For some, there have been big changes in lifestyle after surviving a trauma; for others, the changes are more subtle over time.  Recovering from trauma doesn’t always mean processing all of the details of the incident, as each person recovers differently.

Our counselors can help you identify what you need to overcome the impact of the trauma and help you return to the life you want.  At Kendred Wellness Center, we have clinicians trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy.

ADHD

ADHD typically begins in childhood and can continue on into adulthood. Low self-esteem, troubled relationships, and difficulty at school or work can be contributing factors if left untreated. While there is no cure for ADHD, there are several treatments available that can help reduce the symptoms and improve functioning: medication, education/training, psychotherapy, as well as a combination of treatments.

Whether you have a child with ADHD or you’re an adult in need of ADHD therapy, our counselors at Kendred Wellness Center are here to help you manage the symptoms with a treatment plan specific to your needs.
